The Imposing Threat of EMO.

The following video is an actual news report that aired in North Dakota. Please watch it right away.

I don't even know where to start. Seriously. There is so much to say, but I don't even know how to begin to articulate it. How about this: just watch the video and we'll discuss later? OK, that works.

Also, listen closely to the background music. You bet your ass that they're playing some fucking Fall Out Boy!

You're right. It is tough to even discuss this video. Maybe you could start with discussing while genearlly it seems that politically and economically, news programs are ususally on top of things, but they are always in cultural moratorium.

Or maybe you could start your own topics because I can't form sentences?

Ok, this is absolutly ridiculous. I can't fucking stand emo music, but this is so troubling. That this sherriff think the haircuts are to "see only half the world" is laughable. and I love how they couldn't find any 'emo' kids to interview, cause no one will admit to being emo. yeah, some kids listen to taking back sunday and cut themselves. Some also listen to gwen stefani. But i guess their fraternity t-shirt isnt an identifiable warning sign yet. This is just as bad as the rap goth kids got around columbine. These are just kids listening to music and trying to fit in somewhere.

that isn't Fall Out Boy, it's an emo parody song called "Emo Kid" by Adam and Andrew.

it's pretty hilarious, listen to it at their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/adamandandrew

Try again, there is indeed a fallout boy song at the beginning of the video. The moron news reporters didn't even realize that out of their "credible news sources" more than half were fucking parodies. The emo song is a parody and so is the insta emo thing shown on screen.
